Its not my birthday anymore....

Rapunzel

"Yesterday" when I wrote my last post, it was my birthday. That wasn't really yesterday, but when you see what I've knit since then, you'll think so. My yellow sweater, Rapunzel is finished except for the buttons on the opening. What's next? I've picked up the red cashmere dress. Apparently I'm in the mood to finish up my collection of unfinished knitting. This is a good thing.

Regardless, I'm going to try to be back to regular updating. The divorce is now done (December) - the transition has been tough - FRIENDS ROCK! So what's on my plate for the future: school. I'm going back to get that chemistry degree I had dreamed of when I was a teenager.

I enjoyed the entrelac stitch in lady eleanor so much that I'm going to begin a cardigan sweater design using that stitch. Lady Eleanor

Now on to this subject of getting tagged. THE RULES: Each player of this game starts with the ‘6 weird things about you.’ People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says ‘you are tagged’ in their comments and tell them to read your blog.”

1. Years ago, when I was very thin (yes, I used to be ALOT thinner), I thought it was okay (since I was an arteest and arteest can do anything they want to) to wear black turtlenecks (with black pants, black socks, black shoes) everyday...year round. I never had to worry about what to wear. It was so easy. Life was good then...okay, maybe not good...more like, hot (especially in the summer).
2. Utensils are beautiful. Each one is a piece of art. However, each one is not necessarily only reserved for certain functions. I really should stop hiding my favorite morning spoons from the kids to keep them from using them. My favorite has a perfect brushed silver patina, and an elegant sleek arch. (yes, I have mismatched silverware....and I like it that way...that's not weird).

3. I cannot walk with a bare right foot. Since the accident, my right foot hates the feeling of the bare ground. THIS IS WEIRD (nothing else is weird about me). The foot is fine if I have a sock on it or a slipper, just not bare. Consequently, I adore warm thick fuzzy slippers and am known to venture out in my car while still wearing them.
4. I like really strong coffee. Someone once described it as "tar". It has to be made on the stove because coffee pots are only capable of making fish water. Would you like my recipe?
5. My children think I'm a little obsessive over my chair. My chair is my sanctuary. It is my miniature world in which I control all things in. That's not weird. Don't mess with me on my chair...and don't mess with my chair. You do not enter into my chair unless you have my permission.
6. weird...but not to the readers here...I buy yarn...much more than I need. I feel the yarn. I smell the yarn. I have dreams of the yarn. Then I put the yarn under my bed (thus why I have such a tall bed...all the yarn underneath it has elevated it to the point where it is). The yarn is neatly stored in bins (not carefully labeled and organized....that would be weird and indicative of someone with a serious yarn obsession) where I then forget about the yarn that I have so I must go out and buy new yarn for a new project (ie the recent purchase of SWS for the new entrelac sweater I will start this week). Thank God I don't have any other hobbies (painting is NOT a hobby, its a profession, so that stash doesn't count; and shoe collecting is not a hobby, that's for wardrobe enhancement...besides, the shoes are necessary, and they all get used....well, most of them...).
